Victorian Brick Piers Restored with Lime Mortar
After
Original brick piers and boundary wall restoration in Aigburth, Liverpool. These impressive brick and stone piers had previously been altered and badly repaired. We removed the right pier and poorly repaired section of wall, installed new concrete foundations and re-built the pier and adjoining wall back in its original location. New Cumbrian sandstone coping fitted and block used to replace the pink concrete flag that had previously been stuck to the front of the re-built pier. To finish we carefully fitted the original ornate sandstone caps.

As part of our restoration service we always try to maintain as much as the original structures as possible. The main objective is always to try and conserve rather than rebuild but when this is not possible we will do our upmost to keep any new work in keeping with the original, we will try to use reclaimed materials if they can be sourced. Any new brick or stone is sourced from reputable suppliers of genuine British quarried natural stone and new replica hand made bricks to blend in with original work.
